Meet Kathy Weires

Photography has been a part of my life since the day my parents bought me my first 35mm camera at age 11.  Ever since then my camera has been at my side recording my life and leading a trail of breadcrumbs to all my favorite memories.

My passion to create was my avenue of expression and after I graduated with a BA in Studio Art from UC Davis, I knew that my career path needed to follow an artistic direction. I worked in a variety of positions that all contributed to building a strong creative foundation;  from product displays to advertising layouts,  to behind the scenes at a Fine Art Publishing Company, later finding a role as a school photographer, then a quick jump into photo journalism at a local publication and finally starting a photography business with a fellow photo enthusiast.  We envisioned a goal of producing beautiful photos for families and our dream developed into a thriving business. I found that being a photographer fit my family’s lifestyle and it served as my artistic outlet. By day I worked my craft and by night I attended parent meetings, joined organizations, managed online forums, and followed my girls with my camera as I watched them flourish and grow.

As life would have it, I am now onto my next adventure and I am ready to soak it all in as the new chapter begins!!
